Are you thinking about making an energy investment in solar? Which solar panel is the best choice? Partnering with OGW Energy Resources would be the right choice. There’s a ton of variables that you should take into account when looking into purchasing a Solar panel (PV) system…..let’s take a look at a couple.

The silicon used in solar takes many forms with the most efficient solar panels having the highest purity of silicon. The old saying “You get what you pay for” applies to solar longevity and efficiency. Monocrystalline solar panels have the highest efficiency rates since they are made out of the highest purity of silicon. Along with being highly efficient, Monocrystalline solar has been shown in some cases to have the same electricity output in year 10 as the module had the first day it was installed.

Also, Monocrystalline solar panels have a longer life span than the less efficient Polycrystalline solar panels. Lastly, Monocrystalline solar panels tend to perform better at low sunlight conditions. Polycrystalline solar panels incorporate silicon that is of lower purity which is reflected in a lower efficiency rate than Monocrystalline.

The process to manufacturer Polycrystalline panels cost less due to lower silicon waste and purity standards. These lower cost – lower efficient panels are even less efficient when heat is involved therefore breaking down the silicon from day one. Monocrystalline Solar Panels Getting solar panels that are the cheapest for the kilowatts that you want is not necessarily the right way to go.

Efficient panels mean you need less of them, which can save money on racking, inverters, and labor. Total cost of the panels is only one variable in the overall project cost. Also gives you more flexibility later to add more, if you haven’t already filled your roof with low efficiency panels When you generate your own electricity at your home or facility….something that generally is viewed as a cost becomes a profitable longterm investment.
